Foos Nano Ball Nose Spiral Router Bits - Solid Carbide - 1/4" Shank
Part #: FB-4367
- SMOOTH 3D CONTOURS: The rounded tip is made for relief carving, coves and fluting, with fewer step marks and less sanding.
- MANY MATERIALS: Sharp solid carbide cuts cleanly in hardwood, softwood, MDF, plywood, acrylic, PVC, ABS, two-color engraving laminates and other plastics, plus aluminum, brass and carbon fiber.
- FITS YOUR MACHINE: 1/4 inch shank fits most CNC routers, desktop CNCs and trim routers with a 1/4" collet.
- FOOS NANO COATED: The coating cuts friction, so the bit runs cooler, resists pitch and resin buildup, and holds a sharp edge longer than an uncoated bit. Less cleanup between jobs.
- USA VETERAN-OWNED SUPPORT: US veteran-owned FOOS has sold router bits on Amazon for 10 years. Message us and a real person answers. Every bit is laser-engraved with FOOS and its part number.
FOOS Nano Coated Ball Nose Router Bits, 1/4" shank, solid carbide.
What it is for: 3D contours, coves, fluting, bowls and trays, with smooth finishing passes and less sanding.
Materials: hardwood, softwood, plywood, MDF, acrylic, PVC, ABS, laminates and other plastics, plus aluminum, brass and carbon fiber. Use lighter passes and suitable speeds in metals.
Fit: 1/4" shanks for 1/4" collets on CNC routers, desktop CNCs and trim routers.
FOOS Nano coating: the coating reduces friction at the cutting edge, so the bit runs cooler, resists pitch and resin buildup, and holds a sharp edge longer.
Every FOOS bit is laser-engraved with the FOOS brand and its part number, so reordering the right size is easy. FOOS is a US veteran-owned shop. Speeds and feeds depend on your machine, material and depth of cut. Message us and we will help you dial them in.
FOOS Part #s by size: 1/8" FB-4367, 3/16" FB-7654, 1/4" FB-3256.
Speeds & Feeds
Starting values for 2-flute FOOS Nano Ball Nose bits at 18,000 RPM. Feed = RPM × 2 flutes × chip load. Plunge at about 1/3 of feed.

These are starting points. Adjust for your machine's rigidity and material, and listen to the cut. Feed in inches per minute (IPM). Depth is per pass. Stepover as % of bit diameter (3D finishing). Rough 3D work with a larger flat bit first. Raise stepover to 25-40% for ball nose roughing.
