Foos Nano O-Flute Single Flute CNC Router Bits - Solid Carbide - 1/4" Shank
Part #: FB-2357
- MADE FOR ACRYLIC: The single polished O-flute clears big chips fast, so acrylic and plastics cut without melting, welding or chipping. Clean edges for signs, letters, displays and cutouts.
- PLASTICS FIRST: Cuts cast and extruded acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, ABS, HDPE and other plastics with clean, melt-free edges. Also handles wood and MDF when needed.
- FITS YOUR MACHINE: 1/4 inch shank fits most CNC routers, desktop CNCs and trim routers with a 1/4" collet.
- FOOS NANO COATED: The coating cuts friction, so the bit runs cooler, resists pitch and resin buildup, and holds a sharp edge longer than an uncoated bit. Less cleanup between jobs.
- USA VETERAN-OWNED SUPPORT: US veteran-owned FOOS has sold router bits on Amazon for 10 years. Message us and a real person answers. Every bit is laser-engraved with FOOS and its part number.
FOOS Nano Coated O-Flute Router Bits, 1/4" shank, solid carbide.
What it is for: profile cuts, slots and plunge cuts in cast and extruded acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, ABS, HDPE and other plastics. The single polished flute clears large chips fast, so the plastic does not melt and re-weld behind the cut, leaving clean edges that need little finishing.
Materials: made first for cast and extruded acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, ABS, HDPE and other plastics. Also cuts wood and MDF as secondary uses.
Fit: 1/4" shanks for 1/4" collets on CNC routers, desktop CNCs and trim routers.
FOOS Nano coating: the coating reduces friction at the cutting edge, so the bit runs cooler, resists pitch and resin buildup, and holds a sharp edge longer.
Every FOOS bit is laser-engraved with the FOOS brand and its part number, so reordering the right size is easy. FOOS is a US veteran-owned shop. Speeds and feeds depend on your machine, material and depth of cut. Message us and we will help you dial them in.
FOOS Part #s by size: 1/8" FB-2357, 3/16" FB-4535, 1/4" FB-6945.
Speeds & Feeds
Starting values for 1-flute FOOS Nano O-Flute bits at 18,000 RPM. Feed = RPM × 1 flute × chip load. Plunge at about 1/3 of feed.

These are starting points. Adjust for your machine's rigidity and material, and listen to the cut. Feed in inches per minute (IPM). Depth is per pass. Stepover as % of bit diameter. Plastics: clear chips so they are not re-cut. Aluminum: light passes, air blast or mist.
